Designer Tip of the Week - Archives / Page #3
TIP:
When planning your decorating project, it is best to start
with the largest elements in the room: walls, windows,
and floor. Window treatments are often the most overlooked
but most visible part of your room don't short-change
your home
TIP:
Consider Symphony Double Honeycomb, Perfect Pitch
Pleated Cellular or Ensemble Pleated shades for
your sliding glass door. The 2 on 1 headrail is the option
that will make it all work for you! This allows the two
sides to work independently, giving you more flexibility.
It stacks so compactly, theres virtually no obstruction
to worry about!
TIP:
For corner windows, position the draw cords away from
the corner. When the shades or blinds are open, cords
wont become a focal point. The Comfortex Universal
Headrail System offers four-way functionality, choice
of left or right mount, and locks to left or right.
TIP:
For a door in a high traffic area, consider hold down
brackets. This will keep the shade or blind in place and
will prevent it from banging against the door during use.
TIP:
Dressing your bay window can be easy and stylish! Consider
individually inside mounted blinds or shades on each window.
Add a splash of contrast with a fabric valance or swag.
TIP:
Woodwinds wood alloy blinds are the perfect answer
in a bathroom, kitchen or sunroom where constant exposure
to elements would damage standard basswood wood blinds.
These blinds are built to withstand the toughest conditions
and won't chip, crack or warp.
